GQing It

In fashion, women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories often get the spotlight and variety while guys are relegated to your standard clothing options (shirt, pants, suit, shoes) in boring “guy” colors (navy blue, brown, gray). As a girl, I used to feel bad for fashionably-minded men because they had such limited options in terms of clothes and accessories, particularly if they aren’t open to “dressing outside the box.” Well, no longer! I’ve decided to dedicate a portion of my blog to guys who I feel have a great sense of personal style. Who knows, for my male readers out there, maybe you’ll be inspired to step your fashion game up to my level, ha. First up is my fellow Brownie, DARRELL HARRISON.

Occupation:
I am a student, but I recently signed a two-year contract with JP Morgan's finance program.

Do you aim for a specific “look” when you get dressed?
I have different looks, just depends on how I'm feeling. My dress has become a little more mature lately. Don't rock basketball sneakers unless I'm on the court.

Who are your style icons?
I don't have style icons but I read GQ and Details and I'm very observant.

What’s the latest fashionable item you’ve bought?
I purchased a fedora hat (never thought I would). I like the look though.

What’s the next one you hope to buy?
I'm interested in the black-on-black Kanye West Louis Vuitton's that are coming out soon.

Any last words?
I can really appreciate people who are confident in their style and not afraid to do it differently (as long as its classy).
