I don't see my hairdresser for another week, but I think I've been maintaining my baby dreads* pretty well. Still adhering to my routine of retwisting the roots ever few days with water and shea butter, pinning it down at night, and sleeping with one of those satin bonnets to keep lint balls and whatnot out. My hair keeps curling up, which is cute on the ends of the locs, but not so much in terms of showing the true length of my hair. I'm so envious of the peeps I see walkin around with locs that actually stay down, as opposed to bending, curling, and going every-which-way, but IN TIME I'm sure my little mop of hair will behave as it should. Also, I wish I could get them a little tighter at the roots to keep em looking super fresh. And a slight problem has arisen: my scalp has been itching like crazy and I can't wash it for another week! But all-in-all, I think they are maintaining superbly
*I say baby dreads because, even though they are official locs, they can still be combed out at this point. It'll take about 4-6 months for these to not unravel if I do anything to my hair.
