I managed to cross this one off
my list the day before my birthday, when I went to the drugstore looking for the perfect lipstick to compliment my vibrant
new eyeshadows*. My lucky shade?
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in
Fire & Ice. It looks like a very dark pink/coral shade in the tube, but comes out looking surprisingly like a true red on me. I think it compliments my skin tone well: not too bright, not too dark.

It's a classic too: this shade has been around since the 1950s.
Dorian Leigh in the legendary "Fire and Ice" ad, shot by Richard Avedon.Elle.com also included this shade in its "
21 Must Wear Red Lipsticks for 2010." Not bad for a random trip to the drugstore, eh?
Revlon's Fire & Ice with Revlon ColorStay lipliner in Pink/Rose, topped off with
Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss in Leading Lady*I actually wound up returning these shades (
MAC pigments) for smaller, sample sizes of the product that I found online. Call me a cheapo, but part of me just didn't feel right dropping that much dough on eyeshadow. Plus, a little goes a loooong way with that stuff so you don't need much anyway.
