NOTD: Glittery Goodness [Update!]

So, if you've been with me since this post, you'll remember I was trying out the efficacy of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat on my sparkly Nicole By OPI holiday nails. To be fair, I did spend the majority of last week wrapping gifts, taping things shut, lifting hella boxes, baking cupcakes and generally getting ready for Christmas... probably not the best week to test out any polish for real for real.

Anywhoevers, this is what my nails looked like a day after doing them:

And a week later:

Honestly, I expected my left hand nails* to incur the most damage (shoutout to all my Lefties), but overall, I think Seche Vite really helped the polish adhere to my nails for as long as it has. Glitter polish by itself flakes something awful on me, and I didn't expect it to last even this long on either hand, Seche Vite included.

Even though some chipping occurred, my nails underneath the top coat and polish look great. Seche Vite kinda formed an armor around my nails, so even through all the holiday madness, my actual nails were nice and protected. Awesome.

I'll need a little more time with Seche Vite to see how it wears over other polishes (third time's the charm, as they say), but I am still impressed with how shiny and professionally done it makes my nails look.

Have any of you out there tried Seche Vite or another good top coat? What was your experience like?

*After taking a pic of my left hand nails without Seche Vite, I wound up applying some to those nails anyway just to have an even comparison on wear time.
