The elusive O-GLOSS, $22 at Sephora
O-GLOSS is a lip gloss that applies clear, but within a few minutes of application reacts to your body temperature and warms up to a lovely, personalized pink. Having never encountered one in person before, I swatched O-GLOSS against the back of my hand to see how well it held up to its claims.
I wasn't sure what color pink I'd ultimately wind up with: at first, the gloss was a coral-tinged rosy pink... some minutes later it was a sheer bright pink... twenty or so minutes after that, the color was a deep rose.
Once I got home, I swatched some similar colors I have in my collection to compare:

Because of the color changing effect, I really have nothing like the O-GLOSS in my current beauty arsenal. Whenever I thought I'd found a dupe for the color that I already own, the gloss would warm up to a completely different, yet still flattering shade. The consistency of the gloss is a bit thick, which I don't mind as I've found thicker glosses last longer on the lips. It has no shimmer, but does offers mega shine and a long-lasting rosy lip stain--perfect for when you dab the gloss off to eat or drink.
The O-GLOSS spectrum of pink covers several universally flattering shades, mostly coral and rose as far as I can tell. It's definitely something I'd apply when I'm feeling adventurous with my makeup and don't mind having a different colored lip gloss throughout the day.
Overall, Smashbox O-GLOSS is a pretty neat product. If the thought of shelling out $22 for a color changing lip gloss doesn't sit well with you, there are a couple cheaper alternatives:
Not sure how well these work or how intense the color change effect is, so if you own one or both of these, feel free to weigh in.
Happy Friday folks!
