Lupe Fiasco ft. B.o.B on The Steppin Lasers Tour/Escape from Atlantic City

I love Lupe Fiasco (this marks my 3rd time seeing him in concert!) and I'm feeling B.o.B's new single, so of course, going to the Steppin Lasers Tour was a must. The DC date was SOLD OUT before I could even get the tickets; the next closest city it was playing was Atlantic City, NJ.

B.o.B was the opener, he played a great set. It really makes me wanna download... I mean buy his album coming out April 27! His sound is reminiscent of old school OutKast to me, heavily influenced by Andre 3000.

He called some chick up from the audience and sang to her; the bros next to us in the audience were completely wasted screaming, "I LOVE YOU B.O.B!" and saying how that chick "totally jizzed her pants" for getting onstage, lmao.

Next up was Lupe, and I was not disappointed. Everyone was jammin' to the lyrics and hittin' EVERY bar, especially the wasted bros (no pun intended). It was awesome

As for Atlantic City... bleh. We were only supposed to be there one night. Since the H.O.B. music stage was in the same hotel/casino where we were staying, it worked out perfectly. HOWEVER (there's always a however)... a series of unfortunate mishaps led to us missing the bus back to DC in the morning, thus extending our AC stay by a whopping 9 hours.


Nine hours walking up and down the boardwalk and beach amid the constant din of slot machines was more of Atlantic City than I ever hoped to see, and I think I've had my fill of it for a while, lol.

One more hour and this would have been me: drunk, assed out & broke in AC. Come to think of it, I bet that's how a lot of people leave AC...
