What is the general consensus about Chris Brown these days anyways? What he did to Rihanna was atrocious, no doubt. But a few of his songs have been catching my ear lately. Not sure how to feel about that... hmmm

Lupe dropped another single from his highly anticipated Lasers album today... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have a feeling this LP is gonna be fiyahhhh. Lu' even said this is his favorite record ever. Strong (and appropriate from what I've heard thus far) choice of words there. Partake!

In other news, Jazmine's set to receive the Rising Star Award by Billboard on December 2, an award also bestowed upon everyone's favorite eccentric, Lady Gaga, in 2009.
"I admire Lady Gaga, so to be honored in a category that she was once in is such a rewarding feeling," Sullivan tells Billboard.com. "When I heard the news, I was so happy. I feel honored to be chosen as this year's Rising Star."

SOTD: Jazmine Sullivan - 10 Seconds
First off: Happy October, folks 
And of course, SEASONAL SNACKS: candy corn, pumpkin pie, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (oh yes), apple cider... I can't get enough of them. My inner fatty *rejoices* around this time of year.
"Haters gonna hate"Anyways, on to the post at hand. Ah, Song of the Day. How I've missed you 'round these parts. I heard this joint last night on one of my very rare listens to the radio (why is it that they play the dope music on "off" times, like during lunch or late at night?). Jazmine Sullivan is a new-ish artist with an incredible voice. Of course, she doesn't get the mainstream love she deserves. Maybe this song will wake people up.
"10 Seconds" has a retro, 1960s sound to it and covers what seems to be a favorite topic for Jazmine: relationship probs. The chorus is soaring, and with Sullivan's powerful vocals, you're really transported to that moment where Jazmine tells her lover to get out by the count of ten... or else.

Big Boi describes this song as "a funky, get-down, slap-your-sister-in-the-mouth jam.” Agreed. The video is hot, too.
Of course, where there's a Big Boi, there's a 3 Stacks not far behind. Too bad record label beef is keeping them from releasing an album together, UGH.

The inspiration for today's SOTD comes from a ridiculous email I recently received. Some foolio hit me up via email talkin bout "Hey, I 'bootlegged' your site design & layout, my bad, but can you help me change a few things around so it doesn't look like I stole from you? P.S. I'm too broke to pay you for your time and efforts."
Uh... I think it's about to be Declare War On a B*tch Day again.
I thought it went without saying, but I work really hard not only on the content of this blog, but also the design (including the HTML coding) of it. To not be credited for the hours of work I put into this site sucks balls. So, if something on this site inspires you enough to put it on your own blog, CREDIT THE SOURCE. If the design and layout of my blog inspires you to want to add elements of it to your own page, great. But again, CREDIT THE SOURCE. And if you need help tweaking *my* design and layout to your specifications, not only do you need to credit the source, you need to pay up. I don't wave a magic wand and make this mess happen, it takes TIME, THOUGHT, and ENERGY.
